Incentives for Commercial Solar Systems in Austin, TX

In Austin, the local utility is municipally owned and has a strong commitment to renewable energy. Austin Energy offers two types of incentives to commercial customers:

    • The Performance-Based Incentive (PBI) is based on the amount of power your system produces. This is a bill credit that is based on the monthly system production.

    • The Capacity-Based Incentive (CBI) is based on the size of the system and may be paid in the form of a check, once your system is installed. The payment amount is calculated by multiplying the rebate level by the size of the system.

For more details on eligibility requirements, please visit Austin Energy’s web site.

DWS is a registered solar contractor for commercial PV systems in Austin through Austin Energy.
