Mike Heffren is a Partner and Vice President of the Industrial Controls division at DWS Energy, where he oversees the company’s UL-certified 508 panel shop. His deep experience in industrial controls and commercial wiring solutions have been instrumental in helping DWS grow from 11 employees in 2014 to more than 50+ employees today.
Mike’s dedication to taking care of the customer has enabled DWS to greatly increase its capacity by building turnkey control panels for field energy operations. Mike most recently spearheaded the endeavor to expand the UL-certfied 508 panel shop from its previous 3,000 square feet beginnings to a more than 15,000 square feet facility today, further positioning DWS as the go-to expert for low-voltage wiring solutions in the industry and the state of Texas.
With more than 32 years of experience in wiring and industrial controls, he began his career with Siemens Building Technologies, where he rose through the ranks from Technician, to Programmer, Design Engineer, Project Manager, to Group Operations Manager and Sales Director. Mike joined DWS Energy as VP and became an official partner later that same year.
A native of New Mexico, Mike thoroughly enjoys snow skiing in the mountains, spending time with family on the lake, and restoring his 1966 Coupe Mustang.
