Utility Scale Solar Power Plants
BULLSEYE: Quickly IR scan solar arrays, sub-stations, transformers, combiner boxes and more. TRACK DATA: Map out your site and catalog annual data SAFETY: Reduce risk during certain tests under live load QUALIFIED: p107 sUAV Commercial Pilot Advanced Solar Design (NABCEP) NFPA-70E PPE Solmetric Shade Analysis OSHA 30 - First Aid/AED & CPR ITC Thermology |
Investors: Looking to purchase a solar power plant or submit a module warranty claim? Have us IR scan your site and get instant, measurable results. IR scans are highly accurate, fast and affordable.
Small unmanned aerial vehicles (sUAV) enable us to capture dynamic data faster then before. Using FLIR infrared cameras we can now quickly analyze the overall health of the PV system using radiometric data and further diagnose issues down to the modular level.

Safety is our priority. Just like any other pilot, we conduct pre-flight inspections, log our flight data and constantly monitor weather. It's imperative to know federal aviation administration (FAA) regulations and properly navigate our airspace.

FAA part 107 - sUAV (small Unmanned Aerial Vehicle)
(FAA) Federal Aviation Administration is responsible for regulation and oversight of civil aviation with the United States. Did you know the FAA has six different classes of airspace across the continental United State? Not sure if you are controlled airspace? Give us a call and we can find out for you! If you are we can request a wavier for airspace authorization.
sUAV pilots are required to know the proper rules and regulations associated with the FAA part 107. We study weather patterns, monitor relative air traffic and inspect our equipment each and every time we fly. One tool that we rely on prior to flying is our aeronautical chart shown above. Being able to understand this information is critical to our safety and the future of the sUAV industry.
|
We cannot just rely on our aeronautical charts though. Another tool we frequently have to use is known as a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) which can be found on the FAA's website. It is important to check for NOTAMS before we schedule a flight mission. NOTAMS provide critical information concerning airports and changes that will affect the national air space that are not in our aeronautical charts. Want to know if your drone pilot is qualified or not? Ask them if they checked the latest NOTAM in your area before they take off! Above is an example of a recent NOTAM posted by the FAA.
